We’ve got exciting news! Our friend and former Executive Vice President Sarah Rose has been selected to return to CLCV and its sister organization, the CLCV Education Fund, to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Current CEO Warner Chabot will step down at the end of March in order to focus on other opportunities. While colleagues at CLCV, Warner and Sarah oversaw the 2010 election of the strongest top-of-the-ticket environmental champions in the organization’s 40-year history—while simultaneously working to defeat one of the most anti-environmental initiatives in state history: the oil industry-funded Prop 23 to repeal California’s landmark clean energy and climate law.

Sarah Rose most recently worked with the Western Conservation Foundation, a public charity that gives grants to non-profits working to build leaders to protect the West’s land, air, and water. Previously she worked for more than 15 years for CLCV, first as Political Director and ultimately as Executive Vice President, overseeing CLCV’s electoral work along with its collaboration with the wider environmental community on legislative priorities.
Warner Chabot has managed successful regional, state, and national campaigns to elect progressive candidates and achieve landmark environmental laws and policies for more than thirty years. Chabot came to CLCV and the CLCV Education Fund from the Ocean Conservancy, where he served as Vice President for Campaign Strategies and, previously, as Vice President for Regional Operations.
